In Germany, the projects are funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) through the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM). For an overview of the participating countries/regions and their funding programmes, please visit The Czech Republic is expected to be able to participate in the Call in September 2024.

Deadline for applications is 25 September 2024.
The announcement and the joint application form for the current call for proposals can be found on the respective pages of the participating countries and regions.

It is highly recommended that each interested partner (companies and research institutes) contact their local funding agency before starting to fill in a project application (in Germany: AiF Projekt GmbH, project management agency for BMWK).

To encourage partnerships between German and foreign companies, BMWK and several ministries and funding organizations from various countries have launched a number of bi- and multilateral funding agreements to support joint R&D projects. All project partners must submit a separate application to the relevant national funding scheme. German applicants, who are eligible for funding under ZIM, benefit from a 10% increase in funding when applying for a transnational cooperation project.
